For more than a decade, professional firefighters across Greater Victoria—including the Oak Bay Firefighters Charitable Foundation—have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation to fund critical pediatric care.
Together, local firefighter associations made a landmark collective pledge of $500,000 to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Victoria General Hospital, the Island's primary referral centre for critically ill newborns and children.
